Building Resilience in Team Members:

The project environment can be a cauldron of personalities, emotions and experience as the challenges of the fluctuating ‘triple constraint’ (Time, Resource and Scope of Work) present themselves. Regardless of the challenges the expectations are to perform and preferrably exceed personal capability.

Surviving in this environment requires strong character and the ability to ‘move on and let go’ in order to face the next challenge - in a lot of cases with the same team members.

This workshop introduces the use of standard well proven project management principles that are applied to the dynamics of team and personal interactions, with the objectives of preventing or mitigating Human Factor risks so commonly associated with projects that fail, are late, have high team member turnover or high cost overruns.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Interface PM process and self strength analysis
  • Establish strategies for professional interactions
  • Understand motivational value systems
  • Understanding Pressure & 'Failure'
  • Anticipation of pressure related behaviours
  • Awareness of ‘Group Think’ under pressure
  • Improvement in Team Cohesion
  • Improvement in accountability and responsibility
