Caring For the Carer:
Overview:
Caring for others frequently comes at a significant price to the carer. Shift-work, emergencies, workload pressures, emotional attachments to the aged or terminal patients, can eventually take it's toll. These short workshops offer a strategic approach to self management in the caring professions.
Training - Options
a) Full Day workshops:
A selection of self-care modules with the opportunity to request and incorporate specific requirements.
b) Half-Day Workshops:
WS - I - Sleep Improvement & Fatigue Reduction
A practical approach to obtaining quality sleep and minimizing the symptoms associated with sleep deprivation and fatigue.
WS - II - Coping with Pressure
A systematic approach to ‘dissecting’ pressure and stress and applying practical methodology to reduce the personal and potentially damaging effects of the automatic ‘Fight or Flight’ response.
WS - III - Emotional Energy Management
The 2 phases of this workshop offer a solid foundation for Self Management in relation to life’s experiences and the achievement of career and personal goals. It covers:
Phase-I: Recognizing the impact of life’s experiences and the way it has shaped motivations, beliefs and behaviours within the working and home environments.
Phase-II: Application of unique methodology that is literally transformational in the achieving of personal satisfaction, contentment and ambitions.
